Oh, I just love asking questions in general. They’re usually a bit off the wall. I ask, “How are you?” a lot, but I people don’t take it genuinely and if I’m honest, sometimes it spills out and I really don’t care how the person is doing. Ex. Taking tickets while volunteering at the Peace Center. Yeah, I want patrons to have a good time, but I really just want to get them through the line quickly. I don’t have time to know what’s in their head.
But one of my go-to questions for ice breakers is to ask people what was their favorite birthday. I know mine and I want others’ to think of birthdays as something special. You really are worth celebrating whether you’re 9, 15, 30 or 65.
