Uuuuuuggggghhhhh. This is so difficult! I love my TV! (And I’ve definitely abandoned it in the last year; good for productivity, not good for pop culture upkeep.)
On DVD, I still own Mad Men, Gilmore Girls and The Office. I can’t bring myself to sell them yet even though they are all on Netflix. BUT Netflix does not have the Mad Men commentary, which is worth the DVD set alone. And Netflix doesn’t let me fall asleep to the theme music of The Office or Gilmore Girls when the four or six episodes on the DVD end. I don’t know, it’s kind of comforting!
My show not on DVD that I always tell everyone to watch is “You’re the Worst.” It’s on FX and if you’re between 25-40 you’ll probably see so much of yourself in these characters.
